THIS IS THE SEWAGE SANITATION STATION FOR THE TOWN OF TICONDEROGA. NOTICE THAT IT HAS AN UNCANNY RESEMBLANCE TO FT. TICONDEROGA. THE LOCALS CALL THIS FACILITY FORT SHIT.

THE FERRY RIDE FROM NEW YORK TO VERMONT TAKES ABOUT 8 MINUTES AND SAVES AT LEAST 24 MILES OF TRAVEL AROUND TO THE NEAREST BRIGE ACROSS LAKE CHAMPLAIN.

FORT TICONDEROGA FROM THE FERRY.

ROUTE 100 NORTHBOUND AT 60 MILES PER HOUR. I WEAR THE CAMERA AROUND MY NECK AND JUST LIFT IT AND SHOOT THE PICTURE.

MARK LOGSDON IN FRONT OF THE VERMONT COUNTRY STORE. THIS PLACE IS THE ONLY PLACE I KNOW OF WHERE YOU CAN STILL BUY THE RED FLANNEL LONG JOHNS WITH THE DROP DOOR IN THE BACK. THEY ALSO HAVE OTHER EQUALLY HARD TO FIND ITEMS. CAN YOU SAY FELS NAPHTHA SOAP?

      Mark,
Fels Naptha soap....? I've searched for that stuff ever since Jeremiah was born. The doctor always said, keep looking for a soap that will stop the itching. I thought Hey I know one!!!

The weather in New England is fit for Noah these days. It's too bad that you don't have nicer weather as you ride through Vermont. Vermont is my favorite northern New England state by far.
Let me share a personal story about Vermont. My ex-wife and I honeymooned in Vermont and I have very fond memories of our time there. We once went to a B&B in New Hampshire intending to spend the weekend, but the place was so bad we left after one night. It was also raining, so we gave up completely on the weekend and headed for home. Being that the B&B was on the New Hampshire/Vermont border, we spent the day crossing back and forth over the Connecticut River (The natural divide between the two states). Every time we crossed into Vermont, the rain would stop and the sun came out. Whenever we crossed back into New Hampshire, the sun vanished and it started raining again. I took this as a sign from God, that Vermont was the much better state of the two to be in!
Mark, safe journeys and though it won't be London, I'll have a spaghetti dinner waiting for you anytime your in the area.
