THIS SHOT IS ALONG THE ATLANTIC COASTLINE, IN NORTH CAROLINA. THERE IS A VERY NARROW STRIP OF LAND THAT PARALLELS THE COAST OF THE STATE. THIS NARROW STRIP IS CALLED THE OUTER BANKS. IT IS A MECCA FOR SUN AND SURF LOVERS FROM ALL OVER THE U.S. I OBSERVED LICENSE PLATES FROM MISSOURI, OHIO, NEW YORK AND PENNSYLVANIA.


SOME OF THE TYPICAL SINGLE FAMILY HOMES THAT ARE EITHER OWNED PRIVATELY OR ARE RENTED FOR THE SEASON. NOTE THAT THE GARAGES ARE NOT ACTUAL GARAGES WITH SOLID WALLS, BUT ARE REALLY NOTHING MORE THAN CARPORTS. THE WALLS, IF THERE ARE ANY AT GROUND LEVEL ARE MEANT TO BREAK AWAY DURING STORM SURGES.


ANOTHER SHOT OF THE ATLANTIC COAST OF THE UNITED STATES IN THE AREA KNOWN AS THE OUTER BANKS. THE SEA GULL OBLIGED BY FLYING INTO THE AREA WHEN I WAS TAKING THE SHOT. I JUST "LEAD" IT LIKE A CLAY PIGEON SO THAT I COULD FRAME IT IN THE PICTURE.


ANOTHER VIEW OF THE BEACH AREA IN KITTY HAWK, NORTH CAROLINA, THE OUTER BANKS. THE MIST IS CAUSED BY THE WIND BLOWING WATER INTO THE AIR. IT IS POSSIBLE TO TASTE THE SALT WATER.
