MEL AND DONNA MOVED OUT HERE 32 YEARS AGO. MEL HAD STUDIED BIOLOGY AT MICHIGAN
STATE, AND SOMETIMES WOULD GIVE MARY A RIDE HOME FROM SCHOOL. I WAS BEST MAN
AT THE WEDDING OF MEL AND DONNA SADECKI. WE HAVE BEEN FRIENDS FOR ALL THESE YEARS.
THESE ARE GIANT HOLDING TANKS WHERE THE FISH ARE RAISED FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS AND
THEN THEY ARE PLANTED IN VARIOUS BODIES OF WATER IN IDAHO. THIS PROVIDES GAME FISH
FOR THE SPORTSMEN WHO COME TO IDAHO.

AND THIS IS THE AREA THAT MEL AND DONNA LIVE IN. THIS IS THE SNAKE RIVER. HERE IS SOME OF THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER FLY FISHING IN THE WORLD.

THE OSPREY IS ALSO KNOWN AS THE "FISH HAWK". THIS IS THE NEST THAT THEY USE. IT WAS PUT UP BY THE
LOCAL POWER COMPANY TO PROVIDE HOMES FOR THE RAPTORS IN THE AREA. NOT ONE NEST WAS BUILT FOR THE FIRST 8 YEARS OF THE EXISTANCE OF THE NEST BOX.

THIS ONE STUCK AROUND THE NEST, WHICH MAKES ME THINK IT WAS
ONE OF THE YOUNG ONES FROM THIS YEAR'S HATCHING.

THE RAPTOR POSED FOR PHOTOS FOR A LONG TIME.

THE DOUBLE RAINBOW OF AUGUST 5, 2006 - ASHTON IDAHO.

HERE AGAIN, WITH THE GRAND TETONS IN THE BACKGROUND, THE RAINBOW HUNG THERE FOR THE LONGEST TIME
BEFORE MAKING ITS EXIT.

Once again, breathtaking photos. Yes, yes, of course they're going to make a great book, but I'm also thinking many of them would make great jigsaw puzzles! So glad that you are not only getting lots of rest, but that you are at a place, and with folks with whom you feel comfortable enough to do so.

I am awestruck by the beauty of these photos. Yep.....Mary was definitely there. It reminds me of Lori's graduation party. If you recall, at one point it was raining in my neighbor's backyard, but not in my yard. There was a double rainbow out in front of my house. I know that Mary was with us that day, too. See you soon.........karen

Luckily, the Hawk didn't leave any "souvenir" on your lens or you!
