MONTANA CAN BE INTIMIDATING WHEN THE STORMS COME IN. THIS IS A VIEW LOOKING TO THE WEST.

ANOTHER STORM SHOT.

THE LEVELS OF GEOLOGICAL CHANGE ARE EASILY SEEN ALONG THE ROUTE WHERE I 15 WAS CARVED INTO THE
MOUNTAINS.

SOMETIMES A TREE LIKE THIS WOULD BE AVAILABLE FAIRLY NEAR THE ROAD - BUT THE LIGHTENING KEPT ME
FROM TAKING REFUGE THERE.

IF YOU LOOK AT THE EXTREME RIGHT SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN, YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY IT IS CALLED
ORGAN PIPE.

MOVING THROUGH THE MOUNAINS OF MONTANA

SOME IDEA OF HOW ALONE IT IS POSSIBLE TO BE OUT HERE

AT THIS RATE, I SHOULD BE HOME IN AN HOUR, TOPS.

YUP, HIT 27,000 MILES TODAY. I LEFT WITH APPROXIMATELY 14,690 ON THE CLOCK. BEEN AT IT AWHILE, DON'T
YOU THINK?

I had an overwhelming urge to sing John Denver's "Colorado Rocky Mountain HIgh" while viewing these pictures. I don't care that it isn't part of Rocky Mountains. Close enough, dammit.

Hey - you are getting so close! YAY! Great pics of Donna & Mel and alllllll of Montana. Wow - a harrowing experience to say the least with that weather/wind/hail/rain. ouch!
Can you guesstimate your date of arrival? Lee & I are guessing and wondered how close we were to your guess...just fun. Stay safe. Tell your cool horse not to sleep on the job.
      ;o) Love ya'

      Mark,
I thought of you and your storm when I was driving home from work yesterday evening and running into the solid wall of ugly gray. Very strange sky for NH - maybe your storm made its way east! Glad you made it through alright.
      Love,
      Jane
